USS Technologies looking for Database Administrator with,
• Relevant degree such as Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Computer Science, Education, Engineering, Technical, Information Technology, Information Systems, Business, Computer Engineering, Administration, Software Engineering.
• Proven experience as a Database Administrator.
• Proficiency in database management systems such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.
• Certification in database administration (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified Database Administrator.

Skills

  • Create, maintain and monitor our database environment that is highly available and high performing
  • Plan, drive and implement capacity planning and best practices
  • Participate in planning, maintenance and implementation of all aspects of database disaster recovery
  • Set database performance and approve all database schema and procedure changes
  • Rapidly diagnose and fix problems
  • Have on-call responsibility (including weekends)
  • Provide first-class database support and administration
  • Execute change requests
  • Administer database access and maintain database security
  • Gate-keep' new databases destined for the production environment
  • Design, implement, and maintain database systems to meet the needs of the organization.
  • Ensure the availability, performance, and scalability of databases.
  • Perform regular database maintenance tasks such as backups, restores, and upgrades.
  • Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
  • Optimize database queries and provide recommendations for improving performance.
  • Implement and maintain database security measures to protect sensitive data.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to database systems, configurations, and processes.
  • Collaborate with developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operation of database systems.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in database administration.
