Cloud DevOps Engineer (2 Positions)

Job Type: Permanent;
Salary: £ 30,000 to 40,000 per Year;
Experience: Must have 4+ Years in Cloud DevOps Engineer;
Location: Slough.


USS Technologies looking for an individual with excellent communication skill across all levels of business and should have an attitude toward service delivery. Understand software requirements, design, implementation, development and test environment, tools and processes to perform design development and integration, testing and qualification. Create the Software development plan, based on templates for existent software development plans. Support the Software Technical Lead in training other software team members. Backend support and design.

Skills & Experience

5 year’s experience in IT with strong DevOps practices

  • Demonstrate extensive working experience in CI/CI pipeline as DevOps Engineer or similar development delivery stream
  • Extensively knowledge in database technologies
  • Flexible approach to Software Engineering to cover potentially both Real Time and Windows based Software Developments (training required) Windows operating system application development using C/C++ with a GUI, including TCP, UDP, HTTP.
  • Real Time Embedded software development and test (preferably the airborne systems) and familiarity with real time operating systems and their development environments.
  • Experience in the use of a software design modelling tool and modelling language.
  • Advanced C, C++ and C# and VScode for development life cycle.
  • Dot NET programming and debugging skills for PC based software within the Visual Studio integrated development environment.
  • Extensive experience on cloud technologies and virtualisation orchestration.
  • Database modelling and design concepts for multiple RDBMS products Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL,MySQL and MongoDB.
  • Experienced in cloud infrastructure tools Ansible, terraform, docker and Kubernetes.
  • Good communication, takes ownerships on technical issues and a great team player.
  • Proficiency in technical documentation is desirable.
